I went to the site listed above and got the list of what each wire should be. However, my harness has a few differences. Anyone else noticed some odd wire colors?

Function - Color - Actual Color
12V constant - Pink - Pink
12V switch - Purple/White - Purple/White
Ground - Black - Black
Illumination - Blue/Red - Orange/Black ??
Dimmer - Red/Black - ???
LF (+) - Gray - Green/White ??
LF (-) - Yellow - Yellow/Black ??
RF (+) - White/Red - White/Red
RF (-) - Black/Red - Black/Red

I've actually got two green/white wires. I'm assuming that one of those plus the green, brown and brown/white are for the rear speaker had my jeep been equipped with them. I'm also assuming the blue/white wire is the dimmer?

Left Front (+) Gray

Nice. I just bought a 93 and the PO had hacked up the radio so bad I threw it out and started over. I cut all of the plugs out and now im just going to wire it right into the harness. Thanks for the codes guys this helped me out too.

It's the last thing on my to-do list that i finally got to!

Kinda like the op's. I had a mess so I cut everything off, I dont even have a plug I was just going to hard wire it in. I have:

Red
Pink
Black
Blue/Orange
Blue/white
I didnt have a purple/white
Gray
and some more.

It's too dark and cold to go out there now. I think im going to go to a junkyard and try to find a plug that I can wire in there if I cant get this working. I haven't found a schematic online that matched what I have yet.

My left front (+) ended up actually being green not green/white. Maybe that's why the PO couldn't get that speaker working. I don't have dimmer or illumination on my new stereo so I can't confirm that, but everything else worked:

12V constant - Pink - Pink
12V switch - Purple/White - Purple/White
Ground - Black - Black
LF (+) - Gray - Green
LF (-) - Yellow - Yellow
RF (+) - White/Red - White/Red
RF (-) - Black/Red - Black/Red

You can pull the speaker wires down out of the dash without disconnecting anything if you want to verify colors.

Dig this one up

So as usual I have a mess of wiring from many previous owners. I cut out the pioneer that was in it cause its was JUNK and enough of that. Just wired in one I had in my girls jeep which she totalled now so at least I got the 1 day old radio out. I wired up all that should be good. Test went well but here is the problem I had before, and then i'll list what is happening now.

Main concern is constant power and my switch.

Before:
Radio would come on with ignition. However if you hit the dimmer it would cut out and turn back on along with the rest of he lights in the gauges. So guessing the switch was bad but still works cause its always on max anyway.

This happen when I had my switch wire on the NON purple/white I can't remember right now.

Now:
All speakers work fine (front left is junk but right still works somehow, soundbar helps). However now I turn jeep on and I have to hit the power button on radio to get any power to it. Then it is good however if you turn ignition back off and wait a second for it to clear its memory your back to a blank radio so no presets or sound settings.

This is happening with the Purple/White wire on the red (switch) wire. And of course both times it was wired with the constant wire (yellow) matched to the Pink from the harness.

Any idea's

Also before if I hit the dimmer switch like I said it would cut out and for the most part clear your memory settings and all that. Getting real annoying! But least this radio makes some noise and will let me use my ipod.

Ok I'm dealing with this right now and I have a pink, the purple white striped, black male spade, and a couple others coming down from under dash but they end at a black 8 pin connector connected to an 8 pin female connector going to different colored wires. I see no original radio harness hanging there. The PO had cut the purple white at the connector, don't even see the main portion of that wire to reconnected it. The pink was cut as well at the connector and was used for.the cb and previous radio. I can hook it up again like this but completely.at a loss of why I do not see the original radio connector and the wires you are describing actually connect into another connector and go right back up into the wire loom. Any help?
