91 YJ Wrangler Sahara Fog / Driving Lights Wiring

I'm fairly new to the Jeep world, so go easy on my ignorance Please! lol. I have a 1991 YJ Wrangler Sahara 4.0 model that is missing the original KC lights on the bumper. I see the oem connectors for the harness, but I can't find a part number or supplier for the connector to add to the new LED lights I want to install. I think I have located the oem switch under the dash and have learned that there is a relay that powers the Fog/Driving lights only when the parking or low beams are on? I have searched, but not found the correct wiring diagram for a 1991 model YJ Wrangler Sahara. I would like to used the original style connectors and make them work to original standards for safety and compliance....... Anybody have the wiring diagram to share and/or personal experience? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum

You can buy 2 conductor weatherpaks at many parts stores. They will look like something oem (the rest of the jeep uses them) but aren’t the same as what these fog lights probably had.

Maybe @Chrisnvegas could post a pic?

Anyway the parts store weatherpaks will look like an OEM connector and since you are using LED lights anyway which aren’t oh Yum, it probably shouldn’t matter that they’re not perfect like original.

BTW 1991 is a mongrel year and I’d bet no manual wire diagrams match it perfectly because even some wiring colors and connectors can vary off the diagram callouts. I parted at least two 91s and many basics on my 89 including my wiring harness came from a 91 and believe me the Haynes “Manual” wasn’t that useful

The Sahara didn't come with KC lights.

I'll take some pics of what it came with at 2:00pmish, Pacific.

I assumed he said KC like we say bandaid for an “elastic bandage” but maybe not?

I just know you have the correct thing 🙂

The right lights.
The plug. Look around in the front. You should have the plug somewhere.

Check up near the back of your headlights for the plugs. They are probably secured there.
