5.2 swap electrical question, Orange wire

I know I've read about this somewhere, but I can't find it anywhere. One last wire (for now anyway) I'm not sure what to do with regarding the swap. Position #16 of the "Headlamp and Dash" connector (ENG2) on the firewall is an Orange wire that is K7 circuit. 93 Jeep fsm says it goes to pin #7 on the pcm (among others), and lists it as VSS Mag (+). 93 Dakota (donor) fsm says pcm pin #7 is 8 Volt Input, is also an Orange wire, and is also K7 circuit. Should I assume K7 is K7 and jump the orange wire to pin #7, or is that too easy?

What are you trying to get working, without the wire color circuit number details?

Not trying to get anything working per se, just making sure I get all the required connections made.

Sorry, I'm not the best person to help you then. When I did my swap I went function by function, not wire by wire.

Ok, it IS a simple matter of K7 goes to K7. I was able to talk to someone who would know, and the circuit numbers match so it doesn't matter what the description says. I was able to find the right schematic in the donor fsm and found that the VSS is part of that circuit too, same as the Jeep fsm. I missed that the first dozen times thru the schematics

Yeah, the gm swap is harder than mine. MOST of the wires are the same color and go to the same places.
