2020 Moab trip... YJ's +
Hey guys,
Our NorCal group has got our 2020 Moab plans dialed in already. So like last year, this is a general invite and info. thread for the trip. About 6 months out, so hopefully enough time for some of the forum members to make plans.
We've typically done the first week of May. This years dates got pushed back a bit and are going to be May 12/13 thru May 24. IIRC Randon and company went later in the month last year and we missed each other.
I've already made reservations for a VBRO. Others will be camping @ Kens lake again.
Those going so far...
Timatoe… YJ
Rockworm… LJ (former YJ) + friend bringing Ford Raptor
Mase58... CJ-5
Varnish... LJ (former TJ)
So again... about 6 months out so you all have time to plan. Chime in if you want to go!

So...I’ve planted the seed to my wife and she did not shut me down.
Now, assuming I go, do I flat tow the YJ with The JT and get a brake controller or drive the YJ?

You need more than a brake controller.... you need a complete braking system.

It isn't just a state requirement though - your truck's brakes aren't designed to stop an extra ton and a half of weight.
YJs are right on the edge of being safe to tow without a brake system. I wouldn't tow a JK without brakes.
