1994 YJ exhaust/intake valves

Hello, I have a 1994 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L 4 cylinder. I am replacing the cylinder head and exhaust/intake valves in it. What is the difference between .015 and standard valves? Which ones should I be using? Any help, tips and tricks is appreciated, thank you.

Welcome to /f12 life. I look forward to reading of your adventures.

First. Get a manual

I’m not dissing you but if you don’t know why some new valves are oversized you don’t need them.

I think this covers it ok: http://www.enginebuildermag.com/1996...epair-options/

Transmissions, wheel bearings and axles ‘share’ the characteristic that basic part replacement mentality covers all their service needs. Motors depart from that as there are so many engineering features and precise measurements required that aren’t immediately apparent. I’m no expert but I know enough to know what I don’t know.
