The stock thermostat is 180. I think. Either way, it's a 180 thermostat and it's working as intended. Opening and closing at that temp. I've read about how engine thermostats work, crossed that with my dad, and it seems to be working as intended.

But I'm not closed off to other opinions.

I think I read YJ should be at 190. You might actually be cool.

In that case I'm good. Cause it hovers between the 210 and 182 line. More towards the 182. So that's cool. *ba-dum-tiss*

Ok, so I'll be replacing the radiator this weekend. Because I'm looking for a replacement and not an upgrade (even though I would love one) I'm thinking this one from autozone, or Amazon for $40 cheaper. I am using this vehicle mostly for my daily driver, and about once every month or so for going to the shooting range which does require some crappy dirt roads to be traveled.

I just want to run this by you fellas and make sure I'm not getting a dud. I also realize that 'dud' is up for interpretation.

Well, I should probably have put the actual link for the radiator. Heh.

Just FYI - I used the same radiator in our 2.5L YJ and it's been perfectly fine for over 3 years now. You should be OK.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks.

I've got a lot more stuff I'm doing to this thing to make it 'good' again. Should I just make a new post about all that stuff or just change the title of this one and add to it?

You could start a "Build Thread" if you like, or if you have a unique issue(s) you are dealing with, you could start a new thread. I'd research the topic before posting a new thread though.
