1990 YJ lift gate glass

Hello all from south Mississippi,
I have a 1190 YJ with a factory hardtop, I did some no so great backing up and took out my lift gate glass. I have searched everywhere I normally get parts and can only find glass that appears to have additional holes in the top passenger side. My wiper is mounted to the hardtop, not the glass. I have two hinge bolts at the top and 6 holes across the bottom. Can anyone tell me where to look, I have tried Craigslist, Face book marketplace, forums etc. I hate to cut plexiglass but may have no other option. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Found hard top glass for sale at Quadratec: https://www.quadratec.com/products/12501_3200.htm

But it also looks like it may have the extra hole that you're describing.

Is it possible that your hard top was not originally for a YJ? Any chance that it could have been for a CJ originally?

If you can't be good, be good at it! >:-D

It is very possible that my top is for a CJ, I bought it about 3 months ago. However I have had no luck locating the correct glass. I did however contact Quadratec and asked them the fitment question on the ones you mentioned. Thanks for your help.

A glass shop that does equipment will be able to grind a ‘stock’ piece of glass to shape and install it. A lot of things are done without a part number.

Found a used CJ-7 glass on Ebay. Does this look like the one you need? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-CJ-76-...UAAOSwa~Fb4P5b

Here is a good link to tell the differences in CJ and YJ hardtops. The vents in the rear corners are a dead giveaway

If you cannot fix it with a hammer then it has to be an electrical problem.

Odd YJ hardtop

I had the same question two years ago. I did not find the answer but still am interested in finding one. Obviously, I am not in a hurry....
