Maybe that's a Ford undercover. lol

Looking forward to seeing the new Scrambler uncovered. Do you think they're making a mistake with the Scrambler? How can a truck with such a short box be very useful or popular? I'm worried that if it flops then we won't see any new truck versions.

The bed looks comparable in size to the four-door Tacoma, which seems to be pretty popular.

The words Useful and popular don't go together as much as they used to.

Now you heard words like Image and lifestyle.

I guess I haven't wrapped my mind around the fact that they make recreational trucks these days. People use trucks like cars now which is also weird. Guess that shows my age. lol

I've come back to this forum because of this. I've dreamed of this since I was a teenager. They're gonna have to make it pretty damn useless for me not to buy one...

Darn Near Useless is what most people in the rural areas call a "Truck" with a 4 foot bed.

I really don't think the scramblers use is to line up against a full sized pickup.

There are a lot of things that are better off not inside your vehicle, and this is a reason why I'm looking forward to this vehicle, especially with a diesel.

Very true. Many people buy trucks to show off to friends and family, they'll never haul or tow anything with it. This is the reason truck prices are so ridiculous...you used to be able to buy a pickup for about 1/2 the price of a car, sure can't do that now.

Hell even a 6-1/2" bed isn't that great especially if you do a lot of hauling of sheet goods and larger items...I had a 2008 Toyota Tundra 4x4 with the 6-1/2' bed and I kicked myself for not finding one with an 8' bed, I've only seen a couple around, most are 6-1/2' beds or 5-1/2' beds. I still have my 1988 F250 4x4 pickup around for hauling and towing needs, the 8' bed is really nice, but parking is a completely different story HAHA!!...and we won't discuss fuel economy either, but it'll tow whatever you hookup to.

You can always tow a trailer when you need to haul long stuff.

tacomas are very popular. not everyone needs a full size truck bed just for the weekend Home Depot trips. Plus, the freaking top and doors come off!! SOLD!

Hopefully the Scrambler will have a decent tow rating. Be nice to be able to tow a small car trailer with my Tj on it. This might just be wishful thinking.

they could lose the rear seats/doors and extend the bed and I'd be fine with that
