What does this button do?

I got this button behind the steering wheel about an inch to the left of the rear wiper switch. No idea what it does. Used to make a hum sound, but was never able to figure out what was humming. Its on a '96 classic 2wheel

A guessing game -
What happens when pushed?
Where do wires go?
Anything inop, wipers, washers, seat vibrators, horn, like I said a guessing game.

When I see the price of OEM I think aftermarket.
When I see the quality of aftermarket I think OEM.

If the horn don't work, that would be my guess.
Otherwise the humming sound would mean the ammo drum is empty.

It it's a push button common uses would be horn or starter but a toggle could be fog lights. Sounds like it doesn't really do anything anymore.

self destruct

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

It's just a button designed to make you wonder what it does.

I would guess horn. The steering wheel air bag deployed and destroyed the clock spring. Whether or not any of this has been repaired is another guess

If that's the case, it's working fine.
