Xj UK / EU Orvis XJ build

I've been in the UK for several months now. I found a 1999 Orvis XJ with the 4.0 and AW4 transmission. The Jeep neededs some TLC and afew electrical issues sorted / figured out. The first picture is as I found it on FB Marketplace.
The second picture is of the worn stock front suspension height (18 inches).
The third picture is of the stock rear (worn flat) leaf spring height (15 inches).
The fourth picture is of the rear suspension with Midland "Standard" leaf springs (from here in the U.K.), with Iron Rock Offroad 2* shims (20 3/4 inches).
The fifth picture is of refurbished 16" ICON rims, or as they call them in the UK "Anniversary Rims". Tire size is P255/70R16 Cooper Discoverer 4S. I went this tire size, because it's the largest size tire you can still fit in the back of the XJ, without modifying the rear seat. I will have the Orvis spare tire cover sent to an upholstery shop to have it altered to fit a same size spare tire. The front suspension has not been replaced in this picture, yet... I went with the "4S" tires, so I don't have to worry about buying another set of tires when traveling in the European Union, during the winter months.
The sixth picture is with Crown Heavy Duty front coil springs installed and the refurbished rims and new tires. I was "told" these would give me a 2" lift. As you can see by the picture, I got about a 3/4" lift in the front, from those Crown Heavy Duty front coil springs (18 3/4).
The seventh picture is Midland springs / Iron Rock Offroad set up, with the refurbished rims and new tires, and about 2 weeks of driving on the rear springs (20 1/2 inches).
The eight (last) picture is as it sits right now, as I try & figure out what to do about raising the front up, about another inch or so....

It does but they are not functional. Just ghetto stick ons. Which is unfortunate cause they are cool.
I followed a couple other peoples lead and put the ones from the '98 5.9 Grand Cherokee on mine.
Functional with drip trays. Not cause I was having problems but cause I liked the look.
Did you see the spoiler on the back?
Super cool IMO.
I liked it so much I bought the aftermarket replica for my '00.

If anybody is interested I might have a pair of the 5.9 louvers that I would be willing to sell but there is a slight issue with them.

Super jealous. LOL.
About the black Icons not to mention the rest of the Jeep.
You need to ship me the upright part of the back seat with the headrests. LOL.
Want to see more pictures so lets get on that. LOL.

Looks very nice, getting to be rare in the UK with scrappage schemes.

If you don't mind me asking, rough idea of price?

BagusJeep lives in Bali with far too many 4x4s:

Oddly enough, the Orvis ZJs over here have the functional hood louvers.

As for the back seat with head rests, it'd be a lot cheaper for you to take apart a ZJ back seat, all the way down to the metal & have that small piece cut out where it was welded in & then graft the head rest into the back seat of the XJ, with just a little bit of welding. That's what I did on my XJ, back in the states.

From what I've learned & seen on FB Marketplace, the Orvis ZJ's are basically identical (trim wise) to the 5.9's, minus the V8 engine.

I believe the North American ZJ's got a special green leather interior.

Thank You!!!

The Orvis XJ is a step above the Leather Limited XJs. The Orvis XJs have a nicer leather interior. More wood trim / bigger wood trim. Exterior it has non functional hood vents, a rear spoiler, & 3 "Orvis" badges.

For some reason, the Orvis XJ was never offered heated leather front seats.

It's available in the 4.0 AW4 or the 2.5TD 5spd. I don't believe they did a 2.5TD Auto or a 4.0 5spd for the UK. I'm not even sure if the 2wd XJs made it over here.
