Track Bar (Arm)

I took out my track bar and itís bigger around (more beefy) than the one they sold me. My 1999 Cherokee 4x4 is stock and not lifted so where do I go to get one like I have?

What brand did you buy ?

A genuine Jeep part will cost about $ 200 on-line. Track Bar - Mopar P/N 52007118.

I bought a MOOG for about $110 that looks like the original part.

Advance Auto Driveworks brand Part # DW-DS1235. Their rebranded Moog. Lifetime warranty. I bought one for my 99' 2 years ago and it works great. $53 with their 20% off. You can buy Moog part # DS1235 for $94. Same quality and warranty on both.

Thanks for the response. I bought one from Mopar $310 and 7 days delivery. Since my Cherokee was down my mechanic said go back to NAPA $59 and get the one back I bought and use it temporarily. Hell, it fit perfect and my mechanic said the ball joint would fail before the track arm. He said it wasnít enough difference in diameter to make a difference. Cancelled the Mopar. Time will tell.

I run the Napa on mine.
Not the PCC line one but the better NCP line one.
Did not notice a difference and been 6 years now I think.

If you guys change the Track Arm be prepared to get an alignment. My steering wheel was way off center so I took it to the local Alignment Shop and for $60 Im very happy with the results. I never knew how important the Track Bar is to stability. Glad I changed it.

You can DIY just as accurate as a shop in 15 minutes and it's free. I've been doing mine for over 15 years and my tires are too expensive to take chances. Tie rod sleeve adjusts toe, drag link sleeve adjusts steering wheel.
