track bar

i need to know if i need my treck bar??? its located in the front right before the axle assembly we just put the lift on and cant get the bar in if we do not need it we will not bother with it will there be any changes in handling or performance if i do not use it??? any help would be greatly appericiated.

Yes you need it, Ifyou lifted it you need a adj one.

how much did you lift?
There is a way to redrill the holes in the axle side mount
Or you can buy an adjustable one.

roughly an inch and a half (home brewed lift with the cutting board spacers)

You dont have to really worry about geting a new one with only an 1.5 inch lift

you can still use the stock one, but you axle will not be centered under your jeep.
To get it to go in, get two people, one person get in startd it up and turns the wheel from side to side, the other person slides it in when it is alined right.

Take it out and try to turn... watch what happens....

Yes, a trackbar is necessary. It keeps your axle centered under your vehicle, and without it you'd have little control over your steering.

Put everything back together wheels and tires too, then start it up and put on the trac bar

Trash the track bar.

just use some bailing wire and ducttape.
