I am installing my 4.5" rough country lift nd when installing the new rear leafsprings I noticed the kit didn't come with new shackles. after looking in the instructions it says only to install the new shackles on an aal kit. but when I try to bolt up my new spring pack it wont reach the stock shackles.anyone know what Im doing wrong?

hows that going to help install the new leafsprings....? I hve plenty of room under the jeep but when the front bolt of the leaf pack is in the rear of the pack is like 2 inches too short.

That is because the leafs have no weight on them, and they are arced up more than if the were connected. if you raise the rear end and put a prybar over the bushing you can get it to fit. Unless RC sent the wrong leafs, which seems to be a common problem.

I installed mine myself, and know how hard it is, but that is the way I did it. I never have any friends when I'm working on the jeep, but always seem to have friends when going wheeling.

I put a pry bar (read: giant screwdriver) between the bushing an the shackle and jacked that side of the axle up until the spring flexed into place. I had help at the time so i'm not sure if it required 4 hands or not.
