RC 4.5" TC Drop Question

I know I need the SYE and drive shaft for this lift but I won't be able to purchase it at the same time...is anyone running it with just a T-case drop right now and not having vibes? That's what I would do for a month or two until I could accumulate the cash for the SYE. Any input would be great.

Wait until you can afford both. Just keep saving. That lift is going to get you closer to 5-5.5" so you will run the risk of having your rear DS slip off. Plus you have the external slip yoke which is more prone to vibes (I have the same and had vibes with only 2" of lift).

yeah ive been running it for almost 2 years with no vibes, i hear the older ones are less prone to vibes, the only reason im going to get one is i like how its just an all around stronger setup

My only other option is to go 3.5" RE Super Ride and take off my 2" and run the drop until I can afford the SYE and then after that put the shackles back on and get bigger front coils. I know the RE is a "better" kit as most people would say but I have never heard anything bad about RC either the only advantage to the RC is I can get a 4.5 kit for the price of the 3.5 RE sells.

Im running the RC 4.5 in kit with the tc drop that was included. Have driven down the highway 9 hours straight no vibes EVER. Been running this setup for about a year, never had vibes. Then again, I have a 95...

Got a clean xj? Want to sell it? PM me if so.

i have 4" lift (rear is actually 3") and a 3/4" tc drop i get vibes. im going to install a 1.5" shackle to hopefully better the pinion angle (maybe) but i have a hack n tap, just need to get around to installing it and buying a front ds at a junkyard. i picked up my hnt off ebay for 60, plus 50 for spicer flange (actually need to order that too), and going to pull ds out of jy for 40 bucks, so for about 140 you can beat that.. unless i need to rebuild ds then it probably will be more around 200. but yea you are definatly going to have vibes with that much lift

i have about 4 - 4 1/2 inches with a bastard pack and then another 2 with drop shackles and i have no vibes. only other mod is a new RE slip yoke. every jeep is diff! try it and see what happens. personally i think you will be fine with the tc drop
