Problems with AAL

So I bought a set of Rubicon Express 1410s for the rear, for the life of me I can't figure out how to get them in, they seem too long?? This shouldn't be that complicated, anyone have any advice? 🤬

When I installed RE 1410 on my 1998 they fit perfectly right under the main leaf with the spring eyes.

That's pretty strange, when I try to line up the hole for the center pin the leaf hits the front eye on the top spring? Doesn't make any sense

Mine look like this, RE1410 is second from the top main leaf.
