Xj Plan on hooking up a 7 way rv and brake controller on my 99 xj

Currently i have the basic 4 flat. I do see the blue wire under the front dash for the electric brake power. I need to do some more investigating for other wiring and the relays but if it has the blue wire does that mean its pre run for a factory 7 way set up? Also if i go with the factory style does this have the Aux 12 volt to charge the battery on the trailer when it's hooked up ? If I get the factory mopar wiring and 7 way plug for the back is the controller and wiring for the front mopar or aftermarket?

I don't think I've ever heard of an XJ factory wired for a 7-pin trailer plug and 12v accessory charging, as XJs aren't particularly formidable towing machines.

I'm not sure If the factory set up doesn't have a 12volt charging wire and just electric brakes then it won't be good for me .

I added a wire for electric brakes when I installed my 7 pin connector socket. If I needed trailer battery charging I would have pulled a wire for that too.

There are indeed provisions for trailer wiring for an XJ. It was even available as a factory option. Attached are wiring diagrams from the 99 factory service manual. These are all the pages related to the trailer plug wiring. I have also included a page from the 94 FSM, as the 99 doesn't show the 7-way plug itself. The actual 7-way plug in the last image is the only thing that should be used from that image. It was included as a reference only. Cheers!
