Hello. Removed heater box this evening. I pulled my carpet up while I was in there and noticed the padding was damp on the passenger floor. This is a common issue as I understand it. Thinking it is a good idea to put some type of sealer around that plastic piece that goes through the cowl and lets air into the box. Any recommendations on the type of sealer that would be appropriate for this area? Is it a good idea to put sealer around it from under the dash in the first place? Thanks.
i cut a hole in the cowl by the pass hood hinge! had to pump sealer in and move around back with a right angle brush.! a mess but no more water. yes ,sealed up the hole..pix when i find them.
Thanks for pics. Glad it worked for you and stopped the water from leaking. Do you think it would matter if I sealed it from underneath?
