Disabling AC

I live in a cold climate. I don't need the AC compressor to run at all times. Sometimes I just want pure air.


Can I put a switch on the cable that goes to the compressor?

The AC compressor doesn't run at all times. If yours does, you have other problems.

if outside temp is warm enough and lever is set to ac side or defrost, why not?
