Crankcase vent hose DIY?

Hey all,

I'm wondering if I am able to make my own vent hose. I'm referring to the one that goes from the air box to the top of the valve cover. Mine snapped. If I make my own will I need to use hard plastic tubing like the OE one? And does anyone know what size hosing I should use?

Piece of rubber hose in the appropriate size, some hose clamps, and you should be good.
If the hose is a tighter fit on the air box and CCV elbow then thinking you can skip the hose clamps.
