Coolant reservoir to radiator hose

Hi everyone,
So got home the other day and noticed that coolant was dripping onto the ground, took a look and the coolant reservoir to radiator hose was broken.
I looked in the hayes manual and it doesn't really have anything about this.
Can i use a rubber hosing that can be bought at the hardware store, or do i need to buy a specific one?
