What size tire is he doing? If he is putting a 12.5" tire on there 4.75 will rub on the front lca's and he will be into the rear leafs. Tire information and vehicle information are going to get you a quick and accurate answer.

Im running 33x12.5x15's on 15x8's with 4.75 BS, absolutely no rub on anything, this is the second XJ I have set up like this. Use at least 4" though. When you say it rubs the LCA's are you talking stock or Aftermarket LCA's? I've never had an issue with upgraded LCA's.

sorry to hijack, but what's the call for a 95' XJ, 31"x10.50x15 on 15x8's with 4.5" lift?

im surprised there are actually people running 4.75" BS. i thought i was the only schmuck that did. 4.5" is common around my parts. i have 33x12.5 tires that rub at full lock on the LCAs but they are stock arms. im just waiting on my RE LCAs to eliminate that. and if the post above me says theres none with aftermarket arms then thats great news

I am running 15x8 4.75 bs w/ 33 12.5's. I had to put 2 washers under the steering stop bolts to stop the rubbing in the lca and the tires just barely stick out past the flares in the front. At full flex they tuck in pretty good still also. I went with the 4.75 bs so I could keep my stock flares and not have half the tires sticking out from under them. The more bs you run, the longer your hub bearings will last also.

Hold my beer and watch this!!!

Yes each setup is going to be relative.

But lets see... I have ran 4.5", 4.0", and (currently) 3.0". Any guess as to which one I like best?

My guess is 3.0, because of the added stability, but on the contrare they will wear out ball joints faster, but i'm assuming that's not an issue for you because your rig is a trail rig.
