I see things from time to time that make me wonder.
For instance:


Fitment says '97 to '01. I gotta figure that if it fit other years they would say so.

Then this which only says '84 to '86.


And if hoods vary does that mean doors and fenders do to?

'97 to '01 is good for all three.
From '96 and down for all three might be broken up into different year spans.
This is why I have parts catalogs for most if not all the XJ's even though I just own an '00.
Sometimes helps determine what will fit across multiple years.

I installed old hood (85?) on 01 XJ. I did research before I got it from junk yard.
Florida cars don't have rust unless they are from North. Rust is not from moisture, it is from road salt.

Well the doors 97+ are different as they lost the little front vent window and split rear window. Don't know if the doors themselves will swap.
