1996 Cherokee Sport
Looking for suggestion, Jeep has a ghost! Very hard to start, once it starts with the help of starting fluid it acts like its missing bad for a few seconds then smooths out to a perfect idle. When you rev the engine it begins to miss and stumble @ 1500 RPM. The jeep will not rev past this point, it sounds like it's back firing in the intake and exhaust at the same time. There are no codes at all. This all started climbing a dirt hill, the jeep suddenly stalled and would not restart. After towing back the my shop we checked and replaced the coil, distributor, pluggs, and wires. We found a blown fuse under the hood and replaced, this got the jeep running again, but with this crazy revving issue. TPS sensor is working as it should, Fuel pressure is at 50 psi at idle and when the engine breaks up. The engine seems to have full power until it hits the 1500 mark and acts up. (will spin both tires on pavement) I just order new injectors, think maybe they are worn or some are blocked. I'm running out of ideas. Could this be a MAP sensor issue?
Any ideas would be great.
