While on your search for a new truck, you can type in the year, make and model at reesehitches.com to find out your options for towing capacity. Might help make your decision easier!

Picked this up couple months ago, it was bone stock when I got it I added the Hummer H2 wheels and 285 tires, 08+ badges and tow mirrors.

I bought it from the original owner with 112k miles on it, garaged its whole life, not a dent or spec of rust on the body! Its an 03 LB7 duramax, allison, 4x4, CCSB

And heres my tow rig for work

1996 XJ on 36" TSLs, 4", locked F/R, stretched

1994 GMC Sierra C1500 with a 4.3L V6. It's almost completely stock except for the typical TBI modifications and dual exhaust. The trailer in the picture didn't have brakes either.

It did better than I anticipated. It's been a few years so the details are a little fuzzy but on flat ground and on slight grades it could've went as fast as you wanted. Curves were sketchy though, I took everyone of them slow too. Going up a steep hill it did run a bit hot and was having a hard time but it did make it up there. I honestly had no problems slowing it down either. The Jeep weighs more than most probably and it was a 16 foot utility trailer. The truck like I said is mostly stock. It has a tube instead of a silencer, V8 air cleaner, k&n filter, hypertech base, ported throttle body, pod spacer, throttle body spacer, dual exhaust and the timing advanced 4 degrees. It's auto truck with 3.42 gears and 235/75R15 tires. I've had it for about 8 1/2 years. Without the throttle body ported and timing set at a stock 0 degrees it put down 130 hp and 200 ft lbs (it should've been higher but the run didn't start slow enough). It's far from anything impressive but it'll do the job. The last time I towed the Scrambler I flat towed it using a tow strap. Could hardly tell it was back there but we didn't go over 40 mph. I actually have a J10 that I'm hoping one day might be done for towing duties. That way I can have a Jeep towing a Jeep.

Bought a new tow rig a while back. '17 Ram 3500 6.7L CTD 4x4. I've added a few things since this pic pulling my bass boat. I'm shopping for a slide in camper right now.
