4x4 Systems

Quadra-Trac I

The Quadra-Trac I system utilizes a single-speed full-time four-wheel-drive transfer case that provides superior traction on a variety of roads without the need for any driver involvement.

Quadra-Trac II

The Quadra-Trac II system utilizes an electronically shifted two-speed full-time four-wheel-driver transfer case. When wheel slip occurs, the system instantly transfers torque to the wheel with traction in order to maintain control over a variety of surfaces.

Quadra-Drive II

The Quadra-Drive II system is the ultimate combination of on-road performance and off-road performance. It utilizes Electronic Limited Slip Differentials (ELSD) in both the front and rear differentials. The ELSDs can instantly lock the differentials, providing power to all four wheels, or allow the differentials to slip. The ELSDs replace the Vari-Lok differentials offered in the previous generation WJ Grand Cherokee.
