  • CJ - Civilian Jeep - Round Headlights ('45-'86)
    • CJ-2 - "Agrijeep" - Flat fender, Low hood
    • CJ-2A - Flat fender, Low hood, "Willys" embossed ('45-'49)
    • CJ-3A - Flat fender, Low hood, One-piece windshield ('46-'53)
    • CJ-3B - Flat front fender, High profile hood ('52-'68)
    • CJ-4 Prototype - Prototype only, never in production
    • CJ-5 - Based on the M38A1 design, first V-8 in a short-wheelbase utility vehicle in 1972 ('55-'75, '76-'83)
      • Tuxedo Park Mark I, II, III - Produced from 1961 (Mark I) through 1963 (Mark III) a trim package, later elevated to it's own model the CJ5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV
    • CJ-5A - Tuxedo Park Mark IV Model
    • CJ-6 - Based on the M170, a long CJ-5 with a wheelbase 20 inches longer the CJ-5 ('55-'81)

    • CJ-7 - Extra wheelbase allowed for wider variety of drivetrain modifications, replacement for Jeepster Commando ('76-'86)
    • CJ-8 Scrambler - 103" wheelbase pickup ('81-'86)

  • M-38 - Military version of flat-fender CJ ('50-'52)
    • M-38A1 - Completely different than M38, CJ-5's based on M38A1 ('52-'71)
    • M-170 - Long wheelbase (101"), wide passenger side door opening, CJ-6 based on M170, used as an ambulance ('54-'62)
  • DJ Postal Jeeps - 2WD ('52-'73)/
  • DJ-3A Non postal JEEP - 2WD ('52-'61)
  • FC - Forward Control Trucks - Some had dual rear wheels, Heavy duty brakes, Round Headlights ('57-'66)
    • FC-150 - 81" Wheelbase, based on the Early CJ-5
    • FC-170 - Longer than FC150 (proper length needed here) used Super Hurricane Inline Flathead 6
  • M-67X - Military Forward Control Trucks ('62-'64)
    • M-676 - Civilian Model of FC-170 with some modifications
    • M-677 - Four door crew cab pickup with short bed due to 103" wheelbase
    • M-678 - FC with a van body and three cabin doors, two rear door and removable seating for seven
    • M-679 - Ambulance body essentially a M-678 with no windows and two front doors
  • FSJ- full size jeep ( SJ Cherokee/Wagoneer/Gladiator/J-Series Trucks ) Full Size Jeep is not a real name designation but commonly used nonetheless) According to the IFSJA.org the "FSJ" is any vehicle produced in North America, carrying the "Jeep" nameplate, with 2 or 4drs, in 2 or 4wd, whose wheelbase does not exceed 132", nor is less than 109", and whose tread width is no more than 63" nor less than 57". This definition is known to include the following models:
    • SJ Cherokee: '74-'83
    • Wagoneer: '63-'83
    • Grand Wagoneer: '84-'91
    • Gladiator/J-Series Trucks '63-'87
    • M-715 Military versions and its derivatives ('67-'69)
    • Engine range:
      • 230 Kaiser I6 / OHC ('63-'65)
      • 232 AMC I6 / OHV ('65-'74)
      • 258 AMC I6 / OHV ('71-'86)
      • 304 AMC V8 / OHV ('71-'72)
