The information in this post is not correct. I bought a seat from a 99 grand prix and tried to bolt it into a 77 CJ7, but the brackets were nowhere near close.
I purchased a pair of 98 Cavalier seats from a 4 door and the passenger seat and the 1993 Jeep seat bracket and seat slider holes did line up. The driver's set frame I got of Ebay(Year = ?) didn't have threaded mounting holes like the passenger seat frame did (The drivers side seat frame mounting holes were 3/8" drilled smooth on the back, and the front holes were 3/8" ovals). I drilled two holes what were to right of the existing seat oval frame holes to get the the seat slider/seat mounting holes to line up.
IT states right in the list for grand prix seats: 95-'01 (These WILL NOT direct bolt into a late 70's CJ.)
Seat Swap
I just put 97 Grand Am seats in my YJ and they fir perfectly, no problems.
Ford Contour Seats
Under the minor modification section: Ford Contour Seats '95-'00 needs to be modified to '99-'00 (The sliders on the '95-'98 are completely different and will not work) Can also use Mercury Mystique '99-'00 , they are identical to the Contour.
