Question,

I am wondering if the ring and pinion gears are interchangable for taking them out of a 1996 cherokee sport to a 1995 grand loredo rear ends?

I am taking the front end, engine,trans and transfer case off a 1996 cherokee sport 4x4 and putting it on a 1995 cherokee grand loredo and know that the rear end ratios are different.

I want to keep the existing rear end in the Loredo because of the rear coils of which will be using a 4.5 inch coil lift on front and back.

I have also noticed that the cross members will NOT match up and new mouting holes or brackets will be needed.

Question,

Since the overall length of the running gear of the sport is longer than the Loredo, however, the Loredo's chassie is longer by approx. the same amount, will the sport drive lines still work on this convertion? Or will I need to modify the rear drive line?
