Sprayed Herculiner??

My local Body Shop applies Hurculiner for people on occasion. I was talking with him and he said he sprayed his bed 2 years ago and it has held up very well. I really like the texture. It is a lot smoother than rolled on. He adjusts the air pressure to a texture that is preferred.

I have been looking at lining my tub with something, just haven't decided which product. For the price, I think am going to let him spray it. $300 if I bring him a naked jeep, except for the driver seat. He will do all the prep. For a couple hundred more than what the kit costs vs. the time, I will bite.

My question is, has anyone else had theirs sprayed? My main concern is around the drivers feet area.

I've never heard of spraying in hurculiner, so i don't know how it will hold. I went with raptor liner and just sprayed it in myself, the prep is really not all that hard and there is a pretty good write up on here for it. I kit with spray gun included ran me just a bit over $100 and i had all the prep stuff at home so i don't really know the final cost but its less than $300. Its been in my rig for a year and a half now and shows absloutly no signs of wear.

mine been sprayed with line-x. not sure about the herculiner because there are horror stories about it chipping (probably faulty prep work) and it fades rather quickly in the sun.

id recommend a proffesional spray in liner because of the fact that theyu come with warranties.

I have the ability to do it myself, but time is my issue. It is becoming a bit of a crunch right now, so the extra coin to have it done is not really the issue.

Personally, I have been leaning towards Upol or Monstaliner, but just have not heard much about sprayed Hurculiner. The rolled does not impress me, but his sprayed on in his truck bed looked real nice.

Just looking for others who may have had this done.

Thanks!

this may sound crazy, but i actually sprayed mine with a product called Duplicolor, you can buy it at Auto Zone, it's bedliner that comes in a can. it costs about $9 a can, took me 3 or 4 cans, i can't remember because it's been about 5 years ago. but it came out great, very little prep work, just used a d.a. sander with 400 grit sandpaper, just enough to scuff the surface up. like i said, 5 years and it's still intact, it's a good cheap way to go.

I used roll on duplicolor bedliner on my YJ. Used their spray can too for some other things but the tub was roll on. Had a bit more prep work than you since I had some surface rust on the drivers side floor. I'm a firm believer in good primer job even though duplicolor just called for knocking off the loose stuff and rough sanding. The pits from the rust blended in nicely with the texture:rofl: Seemed nice and solid, dunno how it's held up though since I sold the jeep a year later.
