okay so i wasnt sure where this thread should go but i decided to put it here.... a bunch of my friends have started a new offroad club in PA. its called we-todd offroad it stands for we trash our daily drivers offroad.the website is http://www.we-todd-offroad.com/ we also have a group on face book and the page for that is Welcome to Facebook . the clubs only been around for about a month or so. so we are just starting out and learning as we go. But pretty much we are an offroad club mainly consisting of jeeps but pretty much anybody with any 4wd vehicle can join.We are like a family we wont flame you for a so called dumb question we dont care if youve been wheeling for 1 day or 4 decades; its a club for everybody and anybody. We hold wrenching parties, trail rides, and get togethers. Were looking to boost membership and club participation in cutting trails in many of the new offroad parks opening in PA and also looking for new members who just want to enjoy some good friends and some good wheeling. if this sounds like you or ive even peaked your interest at all please feel free to drop by the sites and give us a shout out.....

currently we are looking for people and companies to sponser our club so if anybody would be interested in that please send us an email at wetoddoffroad@yahoo.com

You guys do any wheelin around Dauphin or Schukyl counties? I live about a half an hour from rousch creek, never been there though. I have taken my jeep on some trails around home here in Millersburg Williamstown, and Tower City. Broken front axle really limits me as to what I can do for now.

yea man we have a blast heres the main page for the club http://www.we-todd-offroad.com/....im not the president or anything im just a really active member i was going to start my own club but i cudnt get the money to start it because i got laid off...and before i had a chance to get back to it after i got hired at harley davidson one of my other buddies i used to work with told me him and another co-worker had started we todd and it just branched off from there. we also were fortunate enough to win the participation award at the york jeepshow this year so for a club just starting out id say we are doing quite well and expanding rapidly...if your interested feel free to join up....right on the main page theres a link called join just click on that and its pretty self explainatory from there...hope to talk to you on there man....

and i know what u mean about getting in trouble....i think all wheelers went through a stage where they didnt care what they wheeled how they wheeled or what land they did it on...we try to be more responsible then that...i stress the word try. you cant control everybody but we do our best. personally when i wheel and the people i wheel with regularly if we see trash even if its not ours we pick it up. we dont destroy private property (unless we have permission lol) and we try to abide by all laws and regualtions and land owners wishes... this is how we keep our great sport of fourwheeling open...the US is starting to see that but with the closing of big offroad places and parks that have been offroad meccas for decades we have to be as responsible as we can to keep the places we do have open and hopefully facilitate the opening of other parks and offroad oppurtunites. i worked hard for the access ive been given to private lands i have access to so we try to keep with the owners wishes and wheel corectly. but dont get me wrong were all about having fun to lol

amen. haha Yea I agree with you 100%. There needs to be some big open land near Allentown... driving great lengths isnt fun for the guys, just to pay some expensive price for a few hours of fun. But hopefully if offroaders behave themselves the state will recognize that and fund some new spots. They could make a lot of money that way, and everyone knows this is woods-country, so why not make it a tourist attraction and get more happy visitors to come and get their 4-wheeled family members dirty

Hey Guy's: I believe that I have some good news for you and would like your input, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) will be having a one day Western PA Trail Symposium. The following is an excerpt from their initial e-mail that I received to help organize the motorized sects since we were not represented during the 2006 & 2008 Meetings.

"We are planning to hold a similar one-day event this October at the Regional Learning Alliance in Cranberry. We are targeting Friday, October 22, 2010 as the date. If you know of any October dates to avoid please let me know. PEC is planning to provide staffing to the event and has some leads on funding to make this happen. I also have a draft agenda started."

I have forwarded invitations to most of the state and national organizations (e.g. NOHVCC, NORA, BRC, UFWDA, PaOHV, AMA, and Pa DCNR PARTAB Motorized Board Members) and will be requesting clubs in each of the six DCNR Regions get involved via an information table to show your Stewardship of the Land through trail clean-up and remediation, as well as a proactive endorsement of R.S.2477.

I will be posting up a Thread specifically for this topic in the near future.

Thank You in advance for your support in this endeavor after all it is for you and future generations of our hobby, the Four Wheel Driving sect……….
