I'm in the process of overhauling my front drive shaft. Im not a budget and have a total of about $50 to replace all three U joints. Whats are some decent U-Joints i can get and still be inside my budget?

X3/Spicer; In a pinch, I bought a "delux", greasable, off brand one from Schucks/O'Reily a couple of months back. Sorry, don't recall the brand. I greased it after each trail ride. However, after just a few, muddy, northwest trail outings on it was starting to make a bit of racket and I lost confidence in it, and installed another Spicer. I keep the other one for a trail spare...

X2 on the Spicer recommendation. For the driveshafts, it is very hard to beat the Spicer 5-785x which is a sealed u-joint that makes for a nice more durable upgrade to the OE u-joint. Nearly any driveshaft shop will stock them but few autoparts stores like Autozone, Kragen, Pep Boys, etc. carry anything that good.

I could possibly swing the Spicer 5-785x i found them for around 16 each. I don't really do any heavy off-roading but i really wont have the money to do this all over again if a u-joint fails from poor quality. I cant find the Spicer products anywhere local and i cant really wait on shipping i'm leaving for college in two days. I get a NAPA 20% discount can they order the spicer u-joints?

yes they can order the spicer u- joints and usually have them in the next day (at least they did for myself) They also have a brand called precision u joints. I used them on my rig and they seem to be as good if not better then spicer. They were a few bucks cheaper as well. You can get the greaseable or the sealed. I like the greaseable because I can shoot fresh grease into my u joints whenever I want. (usually every oil change)

Thanks, i seen that brand on the NAPAonline store and was wondering about them. I have never known NAPA to sell crappy parts i might try thoose out. I found them for 13.99 each

Well im against almost any drivetrain and suspension part from Advance, O'Rileys, or Autozone. If my local napa can get me the spicer u-joints at a decent price i will purchase those, i refuse to purchase something of a lesser quality than what was OEM so i may have to dish out some more cash.

We really dont have any driveshaft shops around here, we have several machine shops but that's about it. Not really much going on around my little town.
