seriously, one of these threads needs to stay alive in the XJ/MJ section and what better time to get a real one going then now with the creation of the XJ/MJ GD. now, lets keep this going.

for me, all i did today was take pictures of my newly cut front bumper.

picture a few posts down.

the l98 corvette motor came with 230 factoy HP and 330 ft/lb of torque. it used tuned port injection as well. and im sure to get it to fit, some new headers were fit. i hardly think thats a waste at all. even assuming he did nothing else to get more power out of it.

Dyno test on an stock 05 wrangler on the dyno turned up 140 and 179 lbft of torque. Like millhouse said that jeep only did 205 hp at the wheel. Not enough for me to justify a swap. Throw on a ripp supercharger and your making 264 and 277 torque at the wheel. But whatever, if you need 8 cylinders I guess nobody would be able to change your mind

Even if it had the same hp and torque, I would get a V8 in an instant... that noise, that feel, its just so perfect.

This morning.. I drove my XJ to school behind a red SRT8. Looked to be euro spec cause it had rear fogs but maybe they all do? When we got on a two lane road he took off.... I tried to keep up but naturally the i6 was no match for a 6.1 SRT8. I took a pic of it at a light if nobody believes this thing but can't get on photobucket from school.... damm they're so sick

I'd hafta agree. The amount of fab needed to do that isn't really worth it. I'd much rather put a stroker in. Plus everyone and their mom puts a Chevy 350 in something. They should have just put soft 8's on it too, hahaha. He did a good job putting it in there, but if it was me I'd put in a stroker.

Changed the oil in the XJ for the first time. Mobil 1 high mileage w/ M1 filter. The oil that was in there was thick and I think the filter was getting clogged up. It runs much smoother now. I'm a little bummed because I dropped the filter and it ended up leaving a big oil stain on my garage floor.

Doing the distributor caps, wires and spark plugs this afternoon.

Seems like ive been tearing up stuff more then anything.

Flexed the back out last night and ended up with the sway bar in the tire. It took alot of work (more then I like to do at 1 am when its cold as crap) to get it rollin again.

But I did come up with a way to orginze my junk.

Cut apart an old filling cabinet. Was gonna put 3 but didnt have room. Im gonna buy a thin peice of something to go across the top so i can sit stuf on top. Prolly gonna rattle can them black today.

&& I painted my tail lights and marker lights!

WTF?!? Never seen that happen.
Bought it with the lift on it. Wish I knew who put it on cause they are complety dumba$$es. Didnt put an adjustable trac bar so the front is all out of wack and when they done the back they didnt pu the plate that the sway bar connects to back on top of the spring pack so it was zip tied up. There was other small things I found to

Guess its my fault for not taking it out first thing when I got it
