How many miles do you have on your XJ, what type of duty has it seen, and what maintenance shedules were followed?
Just curious to compare.

My '96 has 220,000 on it and the oil is strictly changed every 3,000 with other maintenance done on schedule as well.

My '97 has a meager 80,000 on it, but in the last 6 months it has gotten 20,000 put on it, which were mostly highway miles, with a bunch of unpaved road driving up in Wyoming. This XJ recieves regular maintenance as well.

Ashley, when are we goin wheelin???
Lol, i've never been wheeling before so I don't know how. I think it would be fun though. My jeep, as you can see isn't equipped for Wheeling lol, but i love running through puddles.

By the way, you know i'm a girl right?

I have a 2000 with 72,xxx.... runs like a champ, even after blasting through a huge water crossing and sucking water into the engine. Cleaned it out.. put new plugs in.. and runs stronger than it did before the incident... imagine that shiz. :)

My 95 country had 130,000 on in when i got it back in July 04, and I have put 16000 on it since then (146000miles). I get oil changed every 3000 give or take a few. Got new brakes put on it the other day. I hit the mud/trails almost everyday after school and beet the chit out of it. It is running stronger than ever. Even though it is stock it will do things and go places where most stock 4x4 wont. Will be getting a 3" lift and some 31" mud terrains on it soon.

Got 167000 on my current rig, last XJ i had was around 255000 and ran perfect and had no drive line issues... besides a very slow leak on the rear seal (1/2 quart a oil change consistantly) but the rust had taken over to the point of no repair... so I had to let her go to the scrap yard.

Oil every 3k and the rest was on a as needed basis.. but checked frequently

My g/f's 97 XJ has about 109,000 on it. bought it with about 100K on it and the guy who owned it before never did any off-roading in it. She uses it a a daily driver and I use it as a toy.
