Let this thread be an inspiration to all of us doing mods, maintenance, or repairs.

I'll start it off, over the holiday weekend, I did an oil and filter change, fixed a couple rattles, did the front brakes (new rotors and pads), and swapped the brake fluid.

-Put the sway bar back on. It fixed some issues I was having with the vehicle pulling to the right.

-Adjusted the steering. The steering wheel is pretty much centered again.

-Happened a couple weeks ago but I got my snorkel back. I had lost the top and finally broke down and ordered a Ram Air Safari top. Looks good on my home made snork.

the engineers figured out that you really didn't want to know how long it takes to get from point A to point B in a YJ....lol.....fully aware that if you owned a YJ....probably couldn't afford a good watch either....
or they realized the clocks were a pile of crap and some people don't want to take apart the dash once a week to fix the clock. macgyver couldn't keep that thing running

Back on the road

After a 30 day frame patch and repair, she's back on the road. New front and rear smittybilt bumpers, a winch mount with my spare Warn 9500.

Thinking I might swap out the Warn, as it blocks the passenger turn lamp...not sure how the state DMV will feel about that..

A daystar 1" Body lift (which required much welding and cutting holes in the floor to access the broken bolts, and weld in new rotted mounts. Oh yeah this also required cutting the floor at the shifter to make more room for the rear 2nd 4th and reverse gears.

New RC 4" springs with daystar greasable shackles.

Fixed the broken passenger door locking cam....

Glad to be done....Only 4 wleding burns from slag shooting down my shirt:eek:

Well.....replaced my front window rubber cowl seal.....easy.....except one of my hinges decided to not rotate and instead.....broke....nice clean break....felt like it was rotating on the hinge pin.....lol

Looks like I'll be looking for a new hinge set and beatin/bangin those old torx head bolts out.
