i would pull those wheels off right now!!!! i have the same ones, and after just one winter, ALL the clear coat covering the machined parts came off, and the wheels started pitting. and i even cleaned them 3 times a week. trust me, they look great but KMC DOESN'T stand behind their stuff, and won't replace wheels that ever touched salt. just warning you, cuz when summer comes, you are going to be really bummed out
Well i still have the stockers but what am i gonna do? send em back? Ill just paint em like you did. I like the look of em like that too so it will work just fine. :2thumbsup:
hey just thought i'd shoot ya the warning, great looking jeep bud, like it alot. i could really see that front grille being painted gun metal....:drool::drool::drool:
Hey man, your jeep looks awesome, and I like the idea of a gunmetal grill, but has anyone seen this done on a TJ...I think that a black grill on my red jeep might be a good look with everything else being red/black combo...what do you think? don't mean to hijack!
Thanks man, i appreciate it. Hopefully ill get some pics up of the dana 30 guard and the trailer hitch tomorrow. ill put some wheelin pics up monday, im going saturday :2thumbsup:
yeah jeep looks good im trying to convince myself right now to paint my front grill ive got the deep water blue jk and blacked out windows and soft top i think the black and blue combo would look sweet
Yeah, it probably would. Im probably going to do it before too long. Quick ? anybody on here replaced there brake lines with extended ones and know the procedure? Ive never really bled brake lines and would like a write up on it but cant seem to find one.
2 - bleeing the brakes is easy - the best way to do it is locate the bleeder valve on the back of each caliper. Have a friend pump the brakes (with the key off) and hold the pedal down. while he's doing that, crack the valve. repeat until you get a steady stream (which means all the air is out of the line). Then do the same to the remaining 3 calipers. hope that helps! :cheers2:
Well, I finally pulled the plug on painting the grill black. Im doing it now so here are some pics in process... The last one is to show texture. I used two cans of duplicolor bed liner and 2 clear coats of duplicolor also.
