So here is my quandry...

I have been searching for a 4 door Rubicon and found a dealer that was willing to work with me. They have both of my favorite colors. One rig is a '09 with 2,200 miles (white) for 27,900. The other is a '10, new, for 30,500. They are equipped identically with hard top, auto, and power windows/doors.

The downside of the 09 is that while it comes with the remainder of the factory warranty it will not have extended coverage because it was a lifetime warranty for the original owner.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

For the price difference, get the 2010 one IMHO.
Why get someone else's possible headache when you can have a brand spankin new rig?
The lifetime warranty is worth the extra coin if you ask me....

how easy is it to void that lifetime warranty . if you plan on lifting and changeing stuff you might void it any ways . or if it is easily voided then leave it stock and make up for you lack of mods with the gas pedal aha and have jeep pay for it .

why buy a jeep and keep it stock, thats like having 42 lbs of bacon and throwing it away!!!

to keep the warranty . if it were me i would just buy both do what ever mods i could afford keep one stock and when stuff brakes swich the parts and get it fixed fo freeee! or you could just buy ya know 7 cjs for 30k ahaha

well one of the guys I have ran some trails with has a 2.5" rubicon express lift and 35" tires and he has broken some of his drivetrain and they cover it everytime even with the lift and tires....I'm not 100% sure on this but I believe it won't void the warrenty as long as they install it such as the lift. Tires I don't think it really matters but like the lift you just have to pay the extra coin and it doesn't void

But if your really curious just ask a sales man or the manager and get it in writing

Go with the 10 with the lifetime warranty unless you plan on modding the crap out of it right away and blowing the warranty anyway then get the 09. Also a Jeep is never a car, don't ever call a jeep a car, unless it is a compass because they are cars.
