Who makes a cheap, less obtrusive bumper cap? I am cutting my bumper down this weekend and would like a cap that is flat and will cap it flush with the bumper... any ideas?
I went and got a cheap metal grinder and took about 3 inches off each side before I capped the front bumper. If anyone needs some front milk jugs, let me know, no charge.
Anyone get any update on their cap orders from Moparpartsamerica? I check my account status and get a "java.lang.NullPointerException
"?? Is this place legit?? or am I doing something wrong on my computer??
I ordered a set for a friend on 7/30, and my order was in the processing stage until 8/7, then I got a confirmation email that they had sent out. They are supposed to be at my house this afternoon, I'll let you know if they are there. It may have taken a while, but hopefully they are good quality and at my house
Cool! I was just looking for these a couple of days ago, not having any luck! Thanks! Just ordered the fronts, will be here Monday! Now to see about getting those milk jugs off.......
thank you so much for this thread....i have seen these sold in pairs for as much as $50....ordered mine from moparpartsamerica.com a few minutes ago...
Got mine on today! Thanks for the tip about saving the clip things.... I was able to salvage a couple. The bottom ones on my Jeep were mudded/rusted to death.... I ended up busting off the jugs, as the clips broke loose and just spun around in the jug.. Ugh! But I did finally get it done, and I didn't mess up my manicure either!
Mine are on the way as well... I saved the clips though. If you go to a hardware store that carries them you should be able to figure out what size you need.
Hahaha.... lost 2 of those endcaps wheelin so I just ripped the other 2 off and threw them away. Makes it easier to clean out the mud that gets clogged up in the bumpers.
somebody asked about the screw size, it is M6 x 1.00 x 20.00. that is out of an 05 tj parts book should be the same for all tj years.
just need to pick up matching nuts and washers. but get penny washers because the holes in the caps are slotted
I was thinking about ordering the factory ones, but saw you post about these other ones and was wondering what they protect?
