This 16 gauge steel security overhead console has two lockable compartments for mounting a stereo, CB radio, scanner, graphics equalizer or other electronic equipment. Compartments swing up flush with the enclosure shut. Fits between the roll bar and windshield without any drilling.
Comments: I like the security if provides, but I don't think I would recommned it because of the postion it takes up a lot of
overhead room, (blocks the view)
Comments: Bought it "used" on ebay. I'm pretty sure it was never installed because it only have one tiny little mark on it. The thing is a BEAST! You might want a helping hand to hold it in while you bolt it in because it's a little awkward by yourself
Great sturdy construction. Great fit and availability of usable installed products.
Cons
Tight space for wiring, not enough wire tie-offs.

yes
Comments: Not designed specifically for my year model, but I was able to find several posts that tells you what needs to be modified. I had to modify some to make sure it was water proof. I just have a CB mounted in the front compartment right now. I have not decided what I want to put in the rear compartment. It functions great and the security of it is awesome.
Comments: Like I said it's a PIA to put in, but I'm glad I have it now, some people say they hit their heads on it but I'm 5',11" and have no problem with it.
Comments: This was one of my first big spending mods for my TJ. I had already planned the CB and I bought this with that plan in place. It is a little pricey, but it is tough as nails and worth it. It is quite a feat installing it by yourself, though. I recommend having a buddy help you and cut about an HOUR off the install time. A full sized CB like my Cobra 29 just barely fits in the removeable box. There is also room for a large speaker near the back.
If you want your electronics secure, this is definitely a way to do it.
Its very convievent for my bad *** cb and the radio, its very nice for security purposes.
Cons
Nothing its great

yes
Comments: I do believe its rain proof from the other day, it rained and i still can talk to everyone on the cb....
