I deleted my build thread a while ago just because I didnt have anything to update it with and have since done things. Im bored so Im making a new one.
here she is back when she was a stocker on 31s:
I added on some aux lights and a highlift jack (yeah i know its upside down)
I then ordered some Rockcrusher Diff covers:
up next came the Aussie locker:
then the 3" Full Traction lift came in along with my BL and BMML:
Everything looks good man, except for that sway bar. Tie that thing out of the way! The first time one of those links comes down and bends the crap out of your tie rod you will not be a happy camper. Seen it happen more than once.
my buddy in his xj and myself made it through this but both got rocker panel damage and i also tore up my soft top. this group of landrovers came up and this guy decided to give it a try. he just built this thing and just had it repainted. we let him and his buddies start to guide it through but they had no idea what they were doing so we had to step in since the guy driving was freaking out about wrecking his disco. well we had him through it perfectly and he was gunning it up and out when he decided to turn his wheel. well he swung the rear into a nice big rock and tore out the quarter panel from behind his gas cap. he was pissed! he freaked out to. i felt sorry for the guy but it was also pretty funny at the same time. my gf was riding with me through it so no pics of me in it but i have the damage to prove it  ill get a pick of that in the morning when its light out :cheers2:
Thats what i thought. I went there last summer and had a good time but there was no one there. The 750 was still open then but i heard that it closed down.
the 750? dont think ive heard about that trail. but about half the place got shut down and yet there are so many more trails now. they are awesome too. im hoping to head back out there almost every weekend
holy crap thats some bad rock rash! I bet you wish you had those rock rails earlier! and btw you can go 8.8 and 44 and not full width and still be able to handle 37's.
yeah i know but i dont have the money right now. the 8.8 i was looking at is 75 and the 44 100 which is a hell of a deal but ill just have to put it off for a little while
thats too bad, eh stuff happens. Kinda different question but how did your AT's handle all those rocks? any damage to them? i heard you can tear off one of those little side lugs but not sure i believe it. I've really only had mine on the rocks with the AT's once but was Not disappointed for sure. And what psi did you run?
i ran 10 psi and my tires didnt slip once in the rock. i was amazed at how well my jeep handled everything really. the pics dont really show it but that was a level 4-5 trail and they level 5s out there your suppose to have 35s+ and lockers. it was like riding a mountain goat  the ATs held up just fine really. no chunks coming off even with alot of side wall rub. i love these tires. they perform awesome offroad and even better on. their life span is amazing as well. mine are a year and a half old and still look new
Thats awesome, yea mine are about 2-2 1/2 years old and still have great tread and totally rock in the sand, and on road but i rarely get a chance to get on the rocks and the place i go with all the rocks has lots of dirt area's on the trails that turns them from easy as heck in the dry to almost like ice hills when it rains b/c its clay, so when i go i run a set of tsl radials that i got off another jeep that i sold.
alright so i know my plans for the jeep have been jumping around alot lately but thats good. means ive been thinking about it in terms of what i want/need and what is practical. my next plan of attack will be dropping the fenders and flares. after than i will get some spring clips put in, longer brake lines and longer shocks. from there i think i will invest in an oil pan/tranny skid, rear bumper tire carrier, brakes, better control arms and 35s. i better start saving my pennies
should i also look into some steering assist for the 35s?
haha, well it will look good when u get the other lights in the grill.
