So after the success of our first group wheeling trip to HNH last weekend I and many other have decided to do it again. I know there are a bunch of you guys who missed last weekend and such. Apparently there are a BUNCH of KY guys who wanna wheel at HNH. Anyway our next wheelin day down there is gonna be the weekend of Feb 7 and/or 8th. We will def. be there on the 7th and if anyone wants to stay we could wheel the 8th too.
It WILL be cold then and probably a little muddy but hopefully not as muddy as last time. We had a total of 11 rigs this past weekend, lets try for 15 or 20?? The cost is $10 for each driver and $5 for each passenger.
I will post directions and a meeting place as we get closer to the day. Subway in Owenton was a good place and not that far from the park, but I understand that not everyone wants to drive up there and also some live close to the park so we will decide that as the time gets closer. Anyway this is the official thread for our next wheelin adventure so if you are coming, wanna come, have any questions or whaever post in here. Hope to see all of the same faces plus more. Thanks!!!
ok fine bigwilly we will camp lol I'll bring the huge tent which sleeps like 4 ppl comfortably so its def enough for me and you and maybe another body if they wanna join. just bring a sleeping bag. lol
And Will M., if you still think your firestick is too high get another and I'll throw you a few bucks and take yours
yeah Im thinkin about it lol actually if its not as wet we will!! I say that because the only way to get to those trails is to go through the mud road again. aka the trails you see most of in all the pictures here. its just one giant trail with huge ruts and mud slop. Hopefully its dry and or frozen that way we all can get to the v and w trails without a problem and it can be everyones first time back there lol well at least mine lol I have always seen em but for some reason never went back there lol They sound very fun tho.
i might be down for a little road trip if I could crash with someone (or just steal a spot in someones tent cause I REALLY dont wanna sleep in the heep)
Will...fifteen bucks is perfect man! Better than my 10 dollar flea market antenna lol anyway quicksilvercon if you are serious about driving up here to hnh and riding with us on the 7/8 you are more than welcome to crash in my tent. Well its the family tent but I can use it and it sleeps like 4 or 5 guys perfectly so yeah. Just bring a sleeping bag and your fine! Plus we can make a fire and have some drinks and you wont even feel the cold haha Just remember that its 10 bucks a day to ride and then like 5 or 10 more to camp. I dont remember but its not that bad. Maybe if there is enough of us tho for sure camping I will give Joe (property manager) a call and see if we can get a deal on camping price.
im not really worried about me lol, i just like to have one around in case i get stupid haha, im pretty sure my junk can handle the skinny pedal now, and sometimes thats all it will take "more skinny pedal"
I've got a CB in the Heep too.....Also going to look at a hard top and doors tomorrow that I found out (or remembered) a friend had and might be willing to sell. If it's any count, my topless in winter issues will be solved.
lol, i have a sleeping bag that is always too warm, so i am sure i will be fine.
i plan on camping though. oh, and so everyone knows, i will bring 2 sets of d35 shafts and a set of spyders for a d35 if anyone breaks anything. i will only charfe $3,000 per shaft too! lol jk
i will bring all that stuff though. brad we need to talk about what all needs to be broughted. yes. broughted
im bringin one pair of shafts and spyders whether you like it or not. i know there will be a lot of people on d35's, and i would rather be a help if i can
