I put 2 " seat risers in my '06 for two reasons. The seats are 1" lower than in my '00. Since I was making up the lost inch I added a 2nd inch so I can see the corners better.
I'm 5'7" and this also came with a welcome side effect I didnt realize beforehand, The sun visors are actually useful now!!! I always used to look just below them directly into the sun it seemed.
i had a 99 tj before and the difference is big between the way you sit also because the 03-06 seats are more soft and you lose an extra inch from this too(no,i'm not fat :rofl!anyway i really enjoy the rise and i'm 6,4''!:cheers2:
Can you explain that rear tailgate again? I am going to be adding some mods to my rear bumper and having an additional power contact like how the rear light is done would be useful.
the third brake light uses these contacts to work so if you want to take power from the 3d brake light wire and not put a new power wire from the front to the back of your Jeep ,to power an accessory like power locks in the talegate you have to buy from Jeep another set of these ground contacts!is the best solution if you don't want any wires hugging from the back!!
Oh ok, so you bought it from Jeep. Mind me asking how much? I am going to be installing rear lights and want to run everything through these instead of a drooping wire.
i don't really remember but it wasn't expensive.i agree with hipcheck 1 about the plates!I'm not really into the black bezels but if someone photoshop it for me maybe I'll think about it!!::cheers:
Sweet looking and clean... GET IT DIRTY! Looks better than my 06 does now.
Of topic...but whey do people cover up their liscense (sp?) plate numbers in pictures? Couldn't I just as easily see the info as your driving down the road?
