hello, Most of the time when i start up my jeep i hear a ticking sound from the rear of the jeep. This ticking lasts longer in the colder winter months. Normally it lasts for about a minute. Its a steady constant noise, kind of like a clock. Im thinking its the fuel pump. Any Input is greatly appreciated, thanks
It is the fuel pump. When the key is turned on (without starting the engine) the pump runs until pressure is built up in the system then it will shut off. When you start the engine immediately after turning the key on, the pump is running you just don't hear it.
