I would be interested in joining you - plus I've got another buddy here in Frankfort that might join as well. We're newbies but willing!

Try craigslist, LOL But seriously I found a wheeling buddy that way. I put a wanted ad on for a light bar and a jeeper got back to me and he goes wheeling. He just sent me an e-mail this morn saying that he was going wheeling in CT wondering if I was in.

I've been out to The Cliffs, an offroad park, west of Joliet. It's about an hour drive from Frankfort. Has lots of wooded trails, some kind of narrow, a little mud, and a stream to play in. Our typical routine is to hit the trails for a few hours, then head off to the local biker bar for a round or two.

i wanna try and get out to the cliffs this summer now that school is out. what all do you need to be able to go there?

i live in bridgeview, IL and i am up for some wheeling. Badlands is about 3 hours aways and cliffs is about 1hr away. Just got back from the cliffs today and today was one of the more dry days and we still had to use our winches and straps to get around. But all that u need to go to the clifs is money for park fee, trail flag, a basic set of tools, tow points, tire gauge, and a couple other jeeps with you and itd be nice if at least one had a winch.
Other nice things to have
tools, spare parts, winch, tow straps, cb, boots, extra clothes

k well maybe someday this summer we can all set up a trip to the cliffs or badlands for a day or two. that would be cool. we could have a little convoy of jeeps.

You guys should totally check out Jeeps Gone Wild. They make monthly trips to the Badlands and are real laid back and fun to wheel with. They are local to Illinois. I've been out with them a few times now and have had a blast each time. I strongly recommend checking them out. I can't wait for the next event that I am attending July 5th and 6th. Camp-out with two days of wheelin! You guys should come along. It's a blast.

how far are the badlands from la porte indiana? im goin out there this weekend and possibly could check badlands out.

The badlands are in Attica, about 2 hours to the west of me. I don't know where la porte is to tell you how far it is, but it's definitely worth checking out.

But it's worth it.

ya, i might only be able to get out to the cliffs because of the money it would take just to get out to badlands would be a lot( GAS ). I cant flat toe because my family needs the other cars. The cliffs would be more reasonable for me. One day ill make it to the badlands.

thanks for the tip on the flag, also i read in the rules on their website that i must be accompanied by an adult or guardian since i am under 18. ill probably bring my uncle along or something.

Bring someone with you for the July 5th-6th run. It's a camp-out. The first run I did with JGW there was a minor there who was wheeling with his dad or something. They just rode along with him all day. If you come man, it will be worth it. Haha, I'm 27 and brought my mom to the last run. If you can get a passenger to make the trip with you, I guarantee they'll have fun. Unless they get motionsick...

is this at the cliffs?? if so ill definately think about it. its very possible i might go. alsoo where do you camp? does it cost more money to camp out or do you bring a tent and camp anywhere?

It's at the Badlands in Attica IN. There is a campground right outside the park. And yeah, you bring your own tent or whatever. I'll probably be sleeping in my Jeep. Those sport seats are comfy.
