OK, I stole the idea from the YJ forum but it's a great idea so let this thread be an inspiration for all of us doing mods, maintenance, or repairs to our TJ's! :D

Personally, I installed my trusty Uniden CB into my new Rubicon.

Washed and waxed it (or actually used RejeX) this evening. I had to put my dog down this morning, so it was some good quiet time to think, with my Jeep.
Oh man. :( !

Was it unexpected? I'm so sorry to hear that...

That's rough. :(

and one of these

10,000 Lb Tow hook for rear framerail of TJ (Stu's Offroad write-up) About $8
Got longer 1/2'' x 4'' bolts for it. The bolt holes on the hook actually match up with the front of the Jeep where hooks should be, but my tube bumpers are in the way, otherwise I would have bought 2 more.
Why the 4" bolts? Not sure if you are planning on going all the way through the frame, but it's not a good idea. The bolts will just be pinching the 'tubular' frame, and under stress, will pinch that 'tube', and work it's way loose. drill the second hole as required and then you can get an open-end wrench up into the tube of the frame through a hole that is already there to hold the nut onto the bolt. Somewhere there's a write-up that explains it better than I am doing here. I'll keep searching for it...

Put it on an RTI ramp. No actual measurements, but I was told it was about a 950. No, we didn't have a tape measure! I have no idea how good that is for a short arm lift:

On the way up..

And then the RF coming off the ground. Time to stop...

LF not quite on the bumpstop. No pics of the RR bumpstop...

My buddy scored what looks to be about a 1000 with his Skyjacker long arm:

LF on the bumpstop...

Put in the new fuel pump. Dropping and installing the tank, with about 5 gallons, wasn't that bad, but getting the fuel pump retainer ring off was a pain in the you know what. Fixed the cold start problem, and the gas gauge is reading differently now.

Before I dropped the tank, it was at 1/8, and post pump change, it's up to a 1/4. Filled the tank to make sure I didn't have any leaks, and am going to run a tank through to see when I run out. I get 265 miles to E, which is about 16 gallons (in the 19 gallon tank). Thinking maybe it'll just read more accurately, but we'll see.

Tomorrow is the rear main. I'm going to miss the thing, but this will not be my last TJ. Too much fun not to have.

I'm going to pick up a second house in March, and flip it. I'll be working my rear off next summer, and it'll be easier to pull it off with a truck. I'm fixing all the quirks because I feel like I got shafted a bit when I bought it, and I don't want to screw anyone over.

I'll have another TJ within a year or two.

Put on front and rear tow hooks...small job.

Big job...replaced steering gear box. What a pain in arze. All went well I took my time but I think I screwed up the clockspring. I even taped a freaking ammo can to the wheel so it wouldn't turn. Anyway...airbag light is on. Is that a sign?:(

I had the oil changed, and had the rear brakes adjusted. The brakes were "groaning" each time I started off from a stop. They thought it might be the rear differential - fortunately it was just a brake adjustment. Even now they groan a tiny bit on some starts, but nothing like before. I do have to press the pedal harder to stop now though (but the rear brakes don't lock up like they did on quick stops).
