Ok, back in the Grand Cherokee forum, there were some pics of a trail run a fellow Colorado Jeeper went on recently. Imediately he got 3 or 4 responses from other Colorado Jeepers, to let them know next time he goes up, because we all wanted to go. I say, we unite somehow, and let other Colo Jeepers know when a trail run is imminant. I mean, we all know just how many trails there are in Colo. Easy ones, hard ones, long ones short ones (I'm talking about 4x4 trails guys come on, keep your mind out of the gutter) etc. Theres pretty much something for everyone here, and maybe we could start a "Colorado Jeep Club Member #X" or whatever, to kind of "identify" ourselves, so we know who to let know of upcoming trail runs.
I don't think they're plumbed different from anybody else. Kevin did go from a square bar to a round bar design recently, but I really don't think that's the issue. There are quite a few Jeeps out there that have this design installed with no issues.
At the 4WP show last week, I bought a pre filter for my K&N air filter, a "Dry Filter".
It is supose to keep water out of the intake, unless it completely submerged. Sounded like a good idea.
First coat of Herculiner done (this stuff sucks). Need to let it set for about an hour or 2 (herculiner is the devil). Hopefully the second coat will go on quickly (I hate it).
I am coating the inside of the tub. Basically if it was covered by carpet before it will be herculined. I also took of my sliders and lining behind them and I made a door entry guard out of herculiner (did I mention I hate this stuff?).
Well, I bent a rim this weekend on a trail ride. Not a bad bend, or so I thought.
Discount said it is trash. Can't be bent back in shape and hold air AND not damage the bead of the tire.
It is only $50 for a new rim, but I am dumping these rims as soon as these tires wear out, so I hate to buy another one just for like a year or less.
What you think?
Should I just get a new rim and not mess with this for 50 bucks?
or
Try to fix it?
I bought the kit and it came with a 2" brush and 2 foam rollers. I would recommend getting more brushes 1" and 2" also get a paint roller pan I didn't and had to use a plastic container that deli meats come in. If anyone decides to do this tape and mask off anything you don't want lined you will get some where you don't want it. Also it would have been alot easier with the sport cage removed, but I didn't want to mess with it.
I picked up a wakeboard at BassPro Shops (30% off  ) in hopes of getting out on the lake this weekend and ended up having the most fun I can remember in years!
I was in Charlotte and wakeboarded with the fam for 9 hours on Saturday and another 4 on Sunday. My dad's boat is a bow rider, so not exactly setup for this, but still had huge amounts of successs anyway! Got my sister up on the board, my brother-in-law, and my wife- all of which had never wakeboarded before. Almost had my dad up, but he is only 3 weeks out of a shoulder surgery and just couldn't quite hold on long enough.
Ended up with a couple of jumps clearing the wake- no good pics though. Was able to surf the wake and hit all of my front side 180's, but nearly knocked myself out trying to do a backside 360  . I crashed so hard that I was seeing stars
Once up on the water it was 10 times more relaxing than snowboarding, but still used all of the same lower body muscles. I haven't been on a board in 12 years, but it came back pretty fast. If you are a snowboarder, the wakeboard will be like crack cocaine to you. It is purely addicting.

I say fix it as good as you can and use it for the spare.
