OK, I stole the idea from the YJ forum but it's a great idea so let this thread be an inspiration for all of us doing mods, maintenance, or repairs to our TJ's! :D

Personally, I installed my trusty Uniden CB into my new Rubicon.

I would advise you take the 33 off the stock carrier pronto.
I agree with you now.
It IS a 10.5, and not a 12.5, but after the shaking it demonstrated today on some dirt roads, I'm shopping for a proper rack.
I had the bumpers temporarily shimmed with some hockey pucks and misc stuff, but I still couldn't get it to stop rattling. I actually stopped and removed the wheel and put it in the back for the rest of the drive home.
SOOOO much more comfortable to drive without worrying about the tailgarte being ripped off its hinges.
With a proper rack, I will alo have a better spot to put my hi lift jack than on the front hood.

PB Blastered the hell out of my suspension. Got three cans for under ten bucks. Gonna use them all before Lift day. She's only two, so I doubt it'll be a big problem, but $10 now saving two hours cursing at a stuck bolt = priceless! Can't wait for Saturday, should be fun.

BTW, man those rear upper shock bolts are way up there, ain't they?

the rear uppers arent a problem as long as you have socket extensions to reach up there, the big problem i had was the front shocks getting the bolt off of the stud. what i did was i got a grinder and ground a flat spot on either side of the rod so that the vice grip had something to hold on to then they came off easily.

Whats the significance of the 'reverse' flag? Also.. Natty - Where'd you get those awesome mirrors?
When on a vehicle or worn on the shoulder, the "field" of stars should lead in the direction of primary travel. Such as on AF1 (below). I'm sure some of our veterans could elaborate...

I personally think displaying the flag at all is a bit more important than showing it "correctly", but I prefer to do both. :)

So why doesn't my pic work? :\

I got the mirrors from JeepIt.com. They call it the super mirror kit now. A little pricey but I'm very happy with them. I've had them a couple years now. They stay tight, no wobble, vibration, etc.
As to the reverse flag, as mentioned by previous poster, they render the effect of the way a flag would fly in the breeze as you are moving forward.
