I'm look for disc brake for CJ7 up rear axle AMC 20 model. can you help me. and i'm looking for technical details website link whit photo's pictures and video's. thank you
I have always been told that the braking difference between the rear disc (on a AMC 20) and the drum (set up correctly) was not noticeable. I considered the Warn set up mostly for towing. Has anyone seen an appreciable difrence from the rear disc (AMC 20) set up?
I did the Suzuki rotors/Nissan calipers and yes there is a great deal of difference in the braking. No fading, and much quicker stops, keep on working when wet. Highly recommended.
Drums are just terrible when wet, that is why they no longer make drum brakes.
I made a few changes to the article on the Pirate4X4 site. Do some searching and you will find my write up this disk brake upgrade. I got the emergency cable to work with these calipers as well.
I'm have now disc brake up my rear axle. the disc from suzuki samurai. and the rear brake from volkswagen golf II
