I remember a while back someone making one but never teased us with pics. Mine is about 90% finished still needs a skid plate for the bottom loop and two smaller tubes for the sides the bend down to the main tube for head light protection.

Looks awsome. I would prefer a pre-runner when I eventually go for new bumpers, and that looks similar to what I have been looking for.

I second DZP's request for a profile shot. And DZP, when are you gonna produce yours ;) Need an extra freelance drafter, too?? :p

Mine is going to be a little down the road. Definetly want to support all the XJ's out there. Verifying attachments and fit is going to be the hardest part as I dont have an XJ to experiment on.

What kinds of drafting have you had experience with. Business is booming this week, but next may be bust. Have you ever done any steel joist and deck detailing? send me a pm......

Hey, nice hood loovers!! looks pretty trick! How about that profile shot and some close ups of the details.
I will snap a few tonight. The attachment it the uni-body is not complete. Still pondering that, so in the profile shot dont mind the long attachment plates they are for a winch bumper I make for xj's and shhhhh don't tell no one but for Xterra's

I didn't make it, bought it second hand. The mounts are 2 plate on either side welded to a square tube at the bottom and then 2 round tube come off of that up into the bumper. It was designs to work with the stock bumper in place.
so the top main tube looks as if it is free floating so to speak. Whats the two plates for on the down tubes that are u-bolted on for?

I like it excpet I would like to see it supported to the unibody via the main tube. Still great looking bumper "kudos" to the guy that made it.

That plate u-bolted on is just to block junk front getting into the engine area through those holes in the front cross-member. Here's a pics from before the plate...

I think the reason the main tube does not have any more supports back to the mount is because it was made to work with a stock bumper in place. With a stock bumper in the way, the supports would have to curve out around it defeating any kinda of triangulated support.
