Hi Everyone! I just got my new Patriot Limited 4x4 with NAV (and a few other upgrades) last week. This is my first time owning a Jeep... traded in an '01 Ford Escape for this, and so far I am loving it! I am posting a few pics of the NAV along with the others because I had a lot of trouble finding any pictures of it when I was looking.

As you can tell it's raining today...

Congratulations :2thumbsup: Nice looking Jeep.
I like it...alot.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the LTD 4x4? Just curious cause when my lease is up on my Liberty, I'm thinking of maybe thinking about possibly getting one em. :D

The sticker price was $26,085, and I paid $24,204 ($500 under invoice). It's a Limited 4x4 with CVT II, navigation system, upgraded sound system, Sirius satellite radio, handsfree phone option, and... I think that might be it. I live on the east coast, USA. I know that might make a difference in price. You can build and price a Patriot on www.jeep.com to find out the MSRP in your area for the options you want.

I like the leather, and nav system, and general look of the Patriots, the only thing that turns me off is... "Where the **** is the autostick option???"

I might be wrong, but I don't think you can have an autostick option with CVT. There are no gears.
Nah, my CVT Cali has one...

The AutoStick is only available on the Compass and Caliber R/T's. The Patriot gets the FD II option instead. I've gotta make my own. :crying:. But you can convert your Patriot to an AutoStick. It basically requires a shifter, shift plate and re-programming the trans. The "gears" (6) are just programming, the AutoStick lets you select when to change from one to another or just use "D" and let the programming do it.

BTW NICE PATRIOT!:2thumbsup:

Gramps is now a mod??? *runs*
Anyway, also, is it just me or does it seem that the Autostick needs a 7th gear?
And to keep this on topic, that IS a nice patriot, I am beginning to think more and more that I should've waited.

Final drive ratio on the CVT2's is 2.41:1. That's as high as it will go mechanically. You wanna convert your caliber to an FD II?
FD 1 yes, but not II. An AWD w/ lock and a stickshift would be great! The caliber's lack of a stick shift AWD option bugs me.

What all can the NAV radio do? Does it play normal DVDs too?

The NAV system doesn't play actual DVDs, but I have heard that you can get something done to make it work... not sure what though...

Other than that, it has a 6 disc CD, AM/FM, the NAV (obviously), and Sirius satellite (if equiped). It is nice to have the NAV radio with the Sirius and AM/FM because you can see the artist and song name. Apparently without the EVIC or NAV, there is no way to see the Sirius station (let alone the artist and titile).

The NAV radio is also nice if you have the UConnect hands-free system because the name and number comes up on the screen when you make/receive a call.

which 4x4 option do you have freedom drive 1 or 2?
only reason I ask is because I have FD1 and the stupid firestone tires that the dealer screwed up on and I am planning on replacing them with what you have. you already have more ground clearance than mine and I am wondering if the FD2 has a lift as well as the larger tires

What kind of gas mileage are you getting? My wife-to-be really wants one, but she does a lot of driving and needs something that gets really good mileage.

I have the FD1... I think the FD2 has an extra inch of ground clearance with the same tires.

My average MPG has been 23-24 (mostly city)... which is pretty good. It's a big improvement from my 2001 Ford Escape V6 which got about 18-19 MPG. I have about 1500 miles in it so far, so I think the MPG should get a little better.
