So i have been reading back over the years and years of knowledge on this site.I have ready about HDE distributors, nutter bypass, Team Rush ford parts upgrade, and many other upgrades.
In doing the reading it seems like the biggest return one could get on any of these is the ability to do a "post nutter bypass wire removal" and clean up a bunch of the wires from your engine compartment.
That brings me to my questions. What is the current thinking on the different methods of getting spark? Is team rush still generally accepted as a good low risk upgrade? Do we have a more current parts list? What is the wire du jour? Assuming e-coil off ford is still preferred.
What about common thinking on the CDI module? MSA 6a digital looks good to me.
What is the end result with the vacuum lines and timing advance?
The final question and the goal of the Mod... What wires will still need to exist? My Carb needs a wire for the choke. I know I need a tach adapter for my factory tachometer. I will not need the OEM ignition module. I can remove the emissions computer anymore. I think there may be more wires in the ECM than just what was bypassed. I think the reverse lights swich is in that bundle. Anything else?
After this is done, What else would be needed? having the timing re-adjusted?
